More bubbles added to my darn quilt !

Well i wasn't quite happy with my placement of my bubbles so after some advice from Dena Crain the instructor we agreed it needed more to create more contrast so i added 7 more and i do like it much better.  I feel my bubbles or now popping much better.  I do recommend this class it was a lot of fun ...  click on pic for a closer  look  would love to know what you all think......

Darn quilts lesson 3

So here is my lesson 3 but i am having difficulty trying to photograph my quilt to show up the bubbles and details.   This was a fun but a little scary class.  Cutting holes in my quilt and darning them back in was a very very scary feeling but i love the results just wish it would show better.  click on the pics for a closer look !!!

Quilt university Darn quilts lesson 1

Hey hope everyone had a great weekend !  I completed my first class of my QU darn quilt class which was to select my gradated fabrics and cut them on the curve and sew them together. Well not having much experience sewing curves it was very very tricky !!! Finally managed it though ! very pleased with myself. I am on with lesson two which i will reveal to you when it's done.  Here is my first lessons result.....

Quilt university Artist toolbox lesson 1 and 2

I am really enjoying my online classes at Quilt university.  I am currently working on lesson 2 of the Artist toolbox with Lyric Kinard it really is making me look at shapes colour lines and texture in a new way.  Of course i am behind as i just received lesson 3 i mean whats new there with me lol !!
Lesson 1 was all about shape line and texture and Lesson 2 is working on colour and value, something i need to learn more of.  I highly recommend these classes they are very informative with a vast of information.  I am also currently taking the Darned quilts with Dena Crain which i am behind as the weather is not allowing me to go shopping for some of my fabric i need.  I have been practising sewing my curves though !!
If that wasn't enough i finally signed up for letter 101 with Joanne Sharpe it is a fantastic self paced class and i have been inspired by many bloggers creations taking this class.  I have already done 3 lessons but will post about that later.  Here are a few of my pics showing a little about what i have been doing in class !!
