Painted lace and muslin
Hi everyone ! i decided to play along at the http://threecreativestudios.com/ technique of the month it was so cool seeing the transformation. I fused different pieces of lace to some fabric, then i added copper foil, i painted it over with lumiere copper paint then dabbed a mix of blue and silver with some perfect pearls added to make the shade of blue i wanted. Then on top i dabbed more copper mixed with some pearls. i added a little bit of rub n buff in copper and turquoise and voila a really cool surface and piece of fabric which i think i am going to turn into a journal cover.

I've had doing that bookmarked and the materials out for ages but still haven't got around to it yet! Well done on yours, great effect. The blue and copper looks lovely.

ReplyDeleteLove your painted lace...thats the sort of thing I get up to...all your work is so creative...I only use my sewing machine for mundane things like mending and overlocking edges these days and prefer to embroider by hand..so I envy all these lovely postcards, and embellishing..
